Clementine has left the building

May 31, 2011

Yesterday morning we delivered Clementine to her new home.  It was a fourteenth floor apartment with a view of the city.  Every time I think about that balcony I break into a sweat, but I emphasized the point that cats should not be allowed on balconies, and I hope they don’t get slack.

She went walking from room to room, calling out to us from everywhere she went.  The furniture wasn’t there yet, but they said they wouldn’t leave her alone there overnight.  There was a brand new litter box and dish, and toys.

She was not slinking or cowering, she seemed pretty confident and jaunty, and  she came back to us a few times but didn’t cling.  When we left, she wasn’t even in sight.

I miss her little face.  I hope I get updates.

Such good news! Although I imagine there is also an element of sadness for you.

I wish the best for both Clementine and you! Balcony or no, it sounds like she scored a great home!

    Yay!

How wonderful that Clementine found a home! Maybe her people will screen the balcony and turn it into a catio…

How did I miss Clementine’s getting adopted? What wonderful news. Hope she’s enjoying the views from her new home (safely).
