Contrasts

April 26, 2021

We had four cats with us this morning. Apparently at the end of the week there was a group of three month old youngsters, who were in and out within twenty four hours, and several adoptions over the weekend. These guys are still hanging out.

There could not have been a more mixed bag than this!

This adorable tortie is Blueberry. She’s seven months old and quite skittish of everything.

She must have been swept up in a feral TNR because her left ear is tipped and still a little raggedy from it. When she got out, she did mostly this.

Luckily she stayed under the cabinet so I could drag her out more easily than if she’d chosen to be under the cages.

She opted not to stay under the cages because of this rambunctious guy, Cecil.

This was the only moment he was still. Mostly he was running around like a nut in and out of the underneath of the cages. Not sure what happened to his eye in his life, but it didn’t slow him down! Once he was back in his cage, he proceeded to throw litter everywhere despite the fact that I had just swept everything out.

In contrast there was Calvin, who wanted nothing. To. Do. With. Anyone. I didn’t get much chance to visit with him given the other more outgoing inmates.

Unfortunately I can’t tell you much about him.

His complete opposite was Rider.

As soon as I arrived in the room he started yelling. He wanted OUT and PET.

He followed me everywhere asking for attention. This is one laid back and friendly guy. Someone will be lucky to have him and his little blep (which does not impede him eating, drinking, or TALKING).

Such sweethearts. I sure hope they all get their great big happy soon.

Rider looks like such a love. We bet someone will come and choose him soon! We hope the other babies feel more comfortable, so that they can find their happily ever afters, too.
