Girls day out

June 30, 2016

Our girls were out and about on Saturday.  Sweetie sat up on the countertop, as she always does, working around Dagwood who sprawled wherever he felt like.  She got down and did something else for awhile, and Gemma got herself up there.

This is progress for Gemma, she HATED other cats for a good long time when she first came.  She still isn’t so sure she cares for humans, but she is manageable because of her love for the treat bag and the laser pointer.

Furby is such a friendly calm girl, that although Gemma stood back and gave her a hard stare, no altercation ensued.  Furby just didn’t care!

Starla, who gets so nervous with all the cats around, also found Furby to be an unthreatening presence.

I went straight to Starla’s cage and gave her a bunch of love, thinking she might be more relaxed in the room if she’d had attention.  It may have helped, or she may just be getting used to things.

I really love little Starla, she would probably do well in a home with an older cat who is very calm.
