Big boy, small boy

February 16, 2016

It was kind of a madhouse at PetSmart on Saturday because the store was having an adoption event, which meant we had extra cats on hand and there was another rescue with some cats at the back of the store.

These two guys were both getting a lot of attention.

The big boy had the name Jasper on his cage tag, but also a note that he had a name in his paperwork:  Moogie.  Your call…

Is he not a noble fellow?  I think Jasper fits him well, but if Moogie is his name then Moogie he should be, we’ll probably call him both if he stays around.

He didn’t want to leave his space, but he accepted petting without any problem.

He had big fluffy feet!  It occurs to me now that I should have checked to verify if they had claws in them.

Getting even more attention was this little boy, named Taz, who was about six months old.  I am pretty sure that someone was starting paperwork on him as we left, so I think he was in a new home with a couple of feline brothers by Saturday night.

He was hard to photograph as he didn’t want to do much except eat, or try to get down and play which we couldn’t allow.

He was one of those youngsters who purred his head off in your arms even as he squirmed to get down and go.

Adopted last week: the lovely and playful Precious.
