Foster Friday

August 1, 2014

Another little Viking foster has gone to her new home.  Adopted last weekend:  Lagertha the beautiful.

Isn’t she the most gorgeous creature?  She was adopted by a mom with three boys – they have wanted pets for years but Dad didn’t want any, and now that Mom and Dad are separating the first thing they’re doing is getting a pet.  There was a long process of deciding which kitten to take, and lots of persuading that she really needed two kittens, but in the end she was going to start with one and see how that went.  Of the two, I thought Lagertha was a little more independent and I felt better about sending her off alone.  It’s been a week and we have not heard that they are having any problems, so I imagine Lagertha is playing her little feet off and getting lots of happy attention.

That leaves Athelstan and his mom in the foster room.  Athelstan, who was the shyest from the beginning, is now the biggest cuddler.  I call him Stan the Man and he eats it up.  He’s all tail and ears and I’ll try to get some better pictures of him now that he’s the only kitten tearing up the place.

awwww- she reminds me of my 20 year old Cagney when she was a baby. May Lagertha have a wonderful long life of fun, love and awe!

Hooray for Lagertha and her new family! That sure does make us happy. 🙂

With Stan’s awesome cuddly attitude, we hope it’s not long until he finds his happily ever after, too.
