Foster Friday

July 3, 2014

These kittens are so busy!  It’s really hard to photograph them.  They seemed to hold still for selfies, but the front-facing camera on my phone isn’t as good.  I have to get out the tablet with the little cat-selfie software and see if they’ll do it.  My cats weren’t interested in the moving dot, but these guys might be.

Here is a picture of little Helga (now tentatively named Kimball) in her new home.  She is apparently friendly to everyone and wants to play with the adult cat but is being held back for now till she finishes her quarantine and grows a little larger.

Then we have the remaining monkeys.  The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee had a post this week with a video of the kittens destroying the fundraising set, and I’m stealing her “Kittens of Mass Destruction” title for this batch as well.

Lagertha did a lot of wiggling and mugging for the camera in the top of the cat tree.

She watched the ceiling fan.  I think the Love and Hisses kittens must have sent her an alert about ceiling fans needing to be watched.

She tried a couple of selfies.

This one isn’t bad either.

But, as always with kittens (at least for me), all those pictures led to one perfect one:

Sigh.  Isn’t she cute?

Ragnar.  Sigh.  Ragnar.  Cute and silky, one of those kittens who feels like he’s melting in your hands when you pick him up, but black and busy.

He tried selfies.

Then he said he wasn’t interested in being photographed.

Floki is a real ham.  I got a ton of pictures of him, all blurred from him jumping around, and a few that are tolerable…

Then he started to get with the program.

Well, sort of.

Athelstan is still the one least likely to stay where I put him.

We tried a selfie of him.

He’s way more orange than that, though.

He and Ragnar disappeared into the plastic tube to play, and I tried to snoop on them.

This one is a favorite for me, because you can see Siggy in the background watching what her boys are doing.

Saturday, these kids will be going to their first adoption event.  I hope we see them wowing the crowds.
