Eat up!

September 24, 2013

Skittle is so little right now that the just-right dish for him is a cat food can lid.  He is really taking off in the eating department, yesterday I think he ate twice what he ate the day before.  He really wants to run and play, too, which I can’t really allow because Honey is still in the foster room with him, I have to hope he gets enough entertainment rolling around in his crate with his toys, and tipping over his litter tray.

When I weighed him last night he was nearly 13 ounces (he won’t hold still in the bowl on the scale) so he’s taking off in his growth.  He’s really only a few ounces behind now, at five weeks old.  When I got the three boys and Honey, the boys were about 4 weeks old and weighed 14-16 ounces.

His burps still smell like sulfur, which is weird.  Not sure what that means.  But he’s acting like a normal baby kitten.

I still have to mop his chin for him, but he’s less messy than he was.  He makes little snuffling noises when he’s eating and just finished, as if he’s got a head cold, but there are no signs of eye discharge or a stuffy nose.

This tiny furball is so cute. By the way, I’m a new follower through Bloglovin. Looking forward to visiting often.

OMG, Skittle is just adorable. Glad he’s eating and growing, and that he’s acting like a normal little kitty!

That is one lucky kitten to have found you!! It’s good to see that he has a nice potbelly going now and is having no trouble eating lots!! Good job, both of you!!
