One step forward, two steps back

March 15, 2013

Some are making strides while others refuse to…

Pretty Tierney wasn’t hiding in her little cubby anymore, she was sleeping on her bed, and when I stopped by to quietly pet her, she purred.  Good girl.

She’s not totally chill yet, but just that purr signaled a big improvement to me.

Francine, on the other hand, seems to have decided she wants to be alone.  She asked to come out of her cage when we arrived, but when we let her out she kept getting bounced by Simba and got rather crabby about it so we braved her growling and hissing and put her back in her cage.  Then she growled and hissed at me when I just came and stood outside her cage to visit an upstairs neighbor.  Then she expressed her opinion this way.

I hope we can improve her mood, because she won’t be a good candidate for adoption if she stays so crabby.
