Beautiful Elizabeth is rather sad.  I guess you’d be too if you were five years old or more, and suddenly found yourself in a cage at PetSmart.  She seemed sunk in some kind of funk, just sat in the same place the whole time we were there.  I went and sat with her and quietly stroked her head, and she tolerated it and may even have purred – I didn’t want to startle her by trying to determine if she was purring quietly.  We will keep working on her to see if we can make her feel happier.

She’s a big girl, with longish hair that clearly had to have a few mats cut out of it.  Maybe she’s part Maine Coon?  It was hard to get a good shot of her face since her head was down…

In other news – Salsa came back to us again and is relaxing in the same cage.  It appears, although I can’t tell for sure, that Sweet Pea came back too and was almost immediately adopted.  Little Hal was adopted; wild Taz went back to see the vet.  The little girl from the mixed litter was adopted, and I think her brother too although I couldn’t find the sheet to tell me so.  While we were there, someone was seriously interested in Gigi so maybe she’ll finally go home too.

That looks like the classic Maine Coon face to me! I hope she perked up and got adopted!
