Tiny little tortie

November 23, 2009

Since I didn’t post much last week I feel that I owe you bags and bags of cute, and with the crew we had at PetSmart on Saturday it will be easy to oblige.

The tiniest inmate this week was this wee little fuzzy tortie kitten.  Despite what the cage tag said, she couldn’t have been more than six weeks old.  She had arrived on Friday with a sister, and by Saturday morning the sister had already been adopted.  I don’t think this little one will last long with us, she will be snapped up and may be adopted even as we speak.

She was friendly and purred when held, and she explored the top of the counter (we didn’t let her down on the floor with the others, as there was one who had a runny eye and she was too little to be exposed to that).

I took lots of pictures of her trying to capture her cuteness and her subtle color.

But I REALLY went nuts with the camera when, after being out exploring the counter for an hour or so, she crawled into my purse and went to sleep.

If your head went THUNK on your desk from the sweetness, you’re not alone…

I don’t have any baby pictures of Jez ( but this kitten looks lots like she did at 7 weeks.

I hope this kitten brings as much joy & amusement to someone as Jez has brought me over the last 21 years 😉

Yes, my head went *kerthunk* on my desk. Soooo cute! I think I must start haunting the Petsmarts in my area so I might get to see some kitten cuteness live and in person.

Such a perfect little torti – May she bring as much love to a new family as Jez has brought to BJ…and my dear Lacey brought to me. There is nothing so special as a torti!
