A calm Saturday

September 22, 2009

The summer kitten explosion is winding down.  We had the exact same inmates on Saturday that we had the week before, so it was a calm afternoon in the cat room.  The crew was out and about getting along pretty well with one another.

If Tom could talk, I”m sure he’d have been saying something right about then, doesn’t he have an expressive face?  I have been trying to give him more attention, he is such a busy boy that it’s easy to let him run along and pet someone more cuddly.  He likes being petted and is a gentle sort.

Even Romeo, who can be a little grumbly about the presence of so many other cats, seemed much calmer than he has been.  He still spent a lot of time on his perch.

(Doesn’t he have the cutest little white toes?)  But I kept seeing him hither and thither around the room, which wasn’t always the case.

The two tricolor kittens are still there, but they had a special Saturday afternoon separate from the general population.  More on that soon.

I can’t believe Tom isn’t adopted yet — he has such a wonderful little moustache!

Let’s hope it’ll be soon. In the meantime, it’s great to see all the older cats get a chance to get out of their cages and have some roam time!

Those tuxedo kitties! All of them. sigh… Glad to hear the summer kitten explosion seems to have winded down. I hope they all find their homes soon! How could anyone resist Tom’s expressive face? And yes, he does seem to be saying paragraphs in that one look.

Ditto the ladies above! Those tuxies are so adorable! As much as I love kittens, it always seems to be the older cats that capture my heart!
