She’s probably about six months old, and very lively.

Did I mention she has a pretty face?

Surprisingly, she was not that fond of other cats and growled at them a lot.  This photo led to a little altercation when Millie jumped down, which I had to break up.  But she’s sweet as pie otherwise and should have a home in very short order.

The new ones were a slightly less harmonious group, which made it difficult to give them all the attention they needed.  It’s hard to make them all happy when they can’t be out and about together.

This guy stayed in his cage because he arrived with a slight cough that was expected to resolve.  What a handsome young man.  He’s between six months and a year old, and his folder indicated that his name had been Ziggy.

He was silky soft, with beautiful tiger stripes, and he loved attention.

He also had an interesting way of drinking his water.

Yes, he had to have his paw up there while drinking.

Sometimes he licked the water out of the bowl and sometimes off his paw.

“What you lookin’ at??”

Scotty was one of the new arrivals – very friendly young guy, but unfortunately he didn’t last the week, he got sneezy and congested and went back to see the vet.

These three were out and about and played together and nearly all of them also ended up sneezy and congested.  Snuggles, luckily, was adopted quickly and got out of our apparent germ factory.

From front to back: Tazz, Snuggles, and Tazz’s brother Smokey.  Tazz was busy busy busy.  Snuggles was quiet and cuddly.  Smokey was quiet also, and very friendly.  For quite awhile Smokey and Snuggles sat side by side doing nothing, which made me wonder if they were not feeling so well.

Not long thereafter, Snuggles went and crept into the pile of blankets in our cabinet and had a snooze.

Tazz stayed on the go.

Smokey was happy to have a lap, once his buddy in quietness went off to hide.

We also had two other friends with us, who didn’t come out, because they were marked as ready to be picked up.  They went back that afternoon.  This friendly girl was one of them.

Sometimes stuff is just going around, I guess.

George seemed to have developed a little cold, I will not be surprised to hear that he goes back to the vet this week.  Three guys we met last weekend, whom I have not even posted for you, went back already to see the vet.  These sneezles and wheezles are really spreading like wildfire.

There were a couple of super-pretty new faces that may or may not be there when we return.  For example, there is a long-haired white guy with blue eyes, about 5 months old, with flame points, and a fantastic disposition.  Handsome!  I’m sure I won’t have the chance to show him to you.

This young lady was one of the new ones who came to us last weekend and she was still there.  I got to see what a sweet cuddler she was, yesterday.  She loved to be held.

She was hard to photograph!  But at least you can see the lovely tail in that picture.

Oops, that didn’t work either.  Well, we’ll try again on Saturday if she’s still there…

This boy was one of the new arrivals.  I have to say, he stole my heart instantly.  I’m in love with George!

He’s a big boy – he must weigh at least fifteen pounds.  And he’s fifteen pounds of cuddly love.  After the LC driver left and we started greeting the new arrivals, I opened George’s door and he put his two paws on my shoulders and climbed into my arms.  He purred while I carried (or, should I say, lugged) him around paying my other visits, and never once hissed or growled at anyone.  Bring this handsome guy home while it’s cold outside, you’ll always be warm.

So, all new friends this past weekend.  This is Clara.  She was something of a prima donna.  She loved attention and was happy to have you come pet her, but what she really enjoyed was stalking around the cat room giving the others a piece of her mind.

She’s pretty, though, so we forgave her.

but we’re not…  However, we will be back at PetSmart on Saturday and I hope to be able to report that all the sweeties from two weeks ago have gone to good homes.
